Challenge
Integration of controlling, reporting and budgeting processes
The Wielton S.A. Group, which operates in international markets with numerous subsidiaries, needed a tool to integrate controlling, management reporting and budgeting processes. Faced with rapid growth and the acquisition of new companies, management had to contend with inconsistent reporting, time-consuming consolidation processes and difficulties in monitoring operational and financial performance at a Group-wide level.

FlexiEPM as a response to the needs of the Wielton Group
In 2015, FlexiEPM was implemented as an integrated controlling tool to support management reporting, budgeting and performance monitoring. The system is designed to be easily scalable and adaptable to the needs of a growing business.
Solution description:
- Centralisation of financial and operational data – FlexiEPM integrates data from ERP systems, taking into account IAS/IFRS-compliant reporting rules.
- Automated reporting processes – monthly reports are created automatically based on local statements of balances and turnover, eliminating manual steps.
- Advanced budgeting – the planning model enables precise calculations of production costs, estimation of margins and analysis of unused production capacity.
- Inter-group reconciliation module – automates the process of reconciling intercompany receivables and payables balances within the group.
- Comprehensive reporting – the system generates management cockpits and detailed profitability reports for different organisational levels.
FlexiEPM in the Wielton Group enables profitability reporting by division and product group, as well as by customer and geographical market. The system processes data from the financial, sales and production modules of the ERP system, taking into account reporting rules, adjustments and transformations in line with the company’s management information system.
The system consolidates and integrates production and sales budgets. Among other things, the solution provides the ability to report on planned and actual margins. The planning model covers all information comprising the production cost budget. The system includes form templates that allow the planning of costs by type for production departments, the calculation of hourly rates for direct labour and departmental and indirect costs, the determination of unit product manufacturing costs and the estimation of the cost of unused production capacity.

The FlexiEPM system is successfully used at Wielton S.A. and subsidiaries located in France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, among others. Controlling tools based on this solution are constantly being developed and adapted to the changing needs of a rapidly growing business.
